Nicole Zwolinski

Nicole Zwolinski’s first full-length poetry collection, Motherhead will be published in summer 2026 by Finishing Line Press.

​

Nicole was a featured poet for JaxbyJax XI Literary Arts Festival in 2024 and St. Augustine PoetFest in 2025.  Dresses without pockets and other disappointments was selected as a finalist in Quillkeepers Press 2025 Spring Chapbook Competition. She has two chapbooks published, The minor inconveniences of infidelities by Happy Tapir Press and The Shapes I've Been by City Bus Print. Nicole is an alumna of the Tupelo Press 30/30 Project. She was shortlisted for the Central Avenue Poetry prize and will have two poems featured in their 2026 anthology.

 

She earned her BA in Creative Writing with a focus in poetry at St. Cloud State University (SCSU). She continued her education by taking courses through The Loft Literary Center in Minneapolis and attended the Mississippi River Creative Writing Workshop at SCSU. She’s had poems and short stories published in Firewords Quarterly, Flash Fiction Magazine, NEAT., Bare Hands, Fish Food Magazine, Feminine Collective, Alternate Routes, Gather, Effemera, and several other anthologies.

Nicole is a member of Ancient City Poets, the Florida State Poet Association, and Gather Poets.
